 Join us for a traditional Wixarika (Huichol) healing ceremony in nature, around the fire with community, Wixarika shamans (Marakames) and ancient medicine.

Wixarika Ceremony & Healing Sessions

The Wixarika people, also known as Huicholes, are an indigenous Community, who live in the Sierra Madre Occidental of Mexico along the states of Jalisco, Zacatecas, Durango and Nayarit. They are one of the few indigenous people in Mexico that preserve their pre-Columbian traditions. Wixarika spirituality is based on their connection with the elements (earth, wind, fire and water) and the spirits of different places of power located throughout the Mexican territory.

Proceeds from the ceremony will be used to help strengthen the culture of the Wixarika by raising funds for projects in their villages and for the participating Marakames and their families as well as pay for their…
